Beautiful Rat Records would like to present our SEVENTH compilation yet- Riches & Wonders, a tribute to the Mountain Goats!
This is a compilation that I am incredibly excited about getting to put together. The music of the Mountain Goats means very much to me, and has since my teen years. As some may have noticed, they're even responsible for the namesake of this very label! I know that I am not alone in my love for this band and their music, so I was able to gather a handful of wonderful musicians and friends who are also fans of this awesome band to pay tribute to them, and how they've touched our lives!
100% of the proceeds from this release will be donated to www.farmsanctuary.org, a charity picked by John! I love this charity especially, because I grew up in a household full of animals. My mother had a license to rehabilitate wild animals, and at a point she even ran an animal rescue that I was at almost every single day helping out. An animals life is no less important than anyone else, and any cause that helps them out is one I can get behind. If you don't want to purchase this comp, I would recommend donating directly to them nonetheless!
