The inspiration behind this comp came from a tweet that said "wouldn't it be cool if someone did a comp of ska covers of union songs and called it ska-lidarity forever," and I was immediately sold. Both ska and workers rights are two things that I am INCREDIBLY passionate about, so I needed no convincing to start organizing this release! I chose May 1st to put this out because it is International Workers Day, a day that is so very important to me, and fitting for such a release. I could go on forever about the origins of this day, but I won't, simply because it is late at night right now. I do though recommend doing a little reading and learning the history!

Ska-lidarity Forever is a mixed collection of both covers and originals that basically say "fuck the powers that be, also ska rules." I am incredibly honored to get to work with all of these folks- some for the first time, and others for the second or third or even fourth time. If you love Ska and hate the government or your boss or capitalism in general, this is the comp for YOU!! Workers of the world lets unite, we have nothin' to loose but our chains!

100% of all money made from this release are going to be donated to the new Amazon Labor Union. If you know anything about anything, you know that the working conditions at Amazon are absolute hell. Recently the workers at a warehouse in Staten Island have voted to form a union, and are fighting to be recognized. Solidarity with those in Staten Island, and Solidarity to all of those who work in unjust conditions, and solidarity to all those who work.
