Pigeon Scratch - Slow Sloppy Tribute Song For The Brick Sidewalks That Were Demolished In My Town.

from Short Music for Short People by Beautiful Rat Records

/

about

"This song is inspired by a couple of things. Mainly the vibe of slowcore (specifically Bedhead and their song More Than Ever), Hymie's Basement and their song I Am a Sewer At Heart, as well as Masakatsu Tengi and their song "Sorina Street." I was gonna include lyrics, but I couldn't figure out how to really mix it properly for it to sound good with everything else. The main guitar lead was recorded with effects on Ableton 10 Lite, and the rest was recorded, edited, and mixed on Audacity, using plugins such as FerricTDS and the built in stuff. Oh, and the meaning of the song title? There has been some road construction in my small town, and my mom pointed out how they got rid of the bricks on the sidewalk on main street, which ultimately ruined some of the feeling in the town."
